Actually quite a hilarious phenomenon. Late 2017, I thought of a quick catchphrase that I would jokingly use with my friends. I thought, 'That would be cool on a shirt!' And being the fiscally responsible person that I am, I looked into the cheapest way of doing it. With no intention of selling it, I uploaded my phrase onto Teepublic & ordered myself a shirt. I posted the shirt on twitter & NBA twitter quickly caught wind of it. The shirt spread like wildfire, took over NBA twitter, and ended up being on NBA.com and ESPN's Sportscenter’s Top 10 Plays. In the first 6 months, we sold over 600 tees. Since then, we’ve sold a total of 1.6k+ tees. No marketing plan.
